Back 2 School BOD

It’s about that time again…! Fall semester is quickly approaching, but the summer heat is slowly fading away. Which means the summer bodies will still be out and about! I just want to share with you all some tips anyone and everyone can do to stay healthy and sexy this semester!!

ABS…WHAT ARE THOSE??

Okay, so disclaimer!! Getting abs should not be your only motivation for working out and taking care of your body, BUT utilizing them and incorporating them into your workout routing will benefit you a great deal. Everything stems back to your core. That is where you find your strength at the end of a tough run or when you are about to max out on your largest weight. Below are a few of my favorite ab sequences I feel like you all would enjoy!

​I typically go for time (example 5 minutes) and just switch amongst exercises. You can do these as like a nightly routine before bed or like right before you get into the shower.
If you keep consistent with these (And other abs exercises that work well for you), I can guarantee you that you will see results.

HOWEVER!! Another step in maintaining your fab core area is eating habits. I am just going to be honest with you all…I have the WORST eating habits. As a runner, I typically can eat almost anything and it will not affect me. Some of you can relate, but everyone has different bodies that react in various ways. I know whenever I put away my spikes for good, I’m going to have to make some adjustments to my diet if I want to stay fit.

With that being said, I encourage you all to find a mix diet that MUST include water when you take on your workouts day in and day out. I personal don’t believe in starving yourself, but I do believe a smart combo of all types of foods will not hurt you! Above all else, please do not compare where your body is at with someone else. That is the worst thing you can do when you are trying to get YOURSELF right. Go at your own pace and trust the process. After all, it is not about looking a certain way, it’s about being the best you. Whether that’s a size 0 or 8. Be the best you in that 0 or be the best you in that 8! I always tell myself before a race…”look good, feel good” ! Be on the look out for more exercises and routines (upper body, lower body, etc.) coming soon!
